Within striking distance of Crown Point, but far enough away that you begin to feel you’re escaping the hustle and bustle, are some gems along the Caribbean coast, where leatherback turtles come ashore each March–August. You’ll find great options around Black Rock — the beautiful and luxurious Plantation Beach Villas (with direct access to Stonehaven Bay); the Seahorse Inn; the all-inclusive Starfish Tobago by Rex Resorts (formerly Turtle Beach Resort, right on Great Courtland Bay); Birdie’s Nest, and Hibiscus Heights; while the opulent, full-service Villas at Stonehaven are perched on a hill with magnificent ocean views and lovely landscaped grounds. Miller’s Guest House (Buccoo) and the recently upgraded and refurbished Mt Irvine Bay Resort (with its golf course, restaurants, and range of amenities) are also popular options.

Plantation Beach Villas

Located on Tobago’s Caribbean coast, the Villa Resort comprises six well-appointed three-bedroom villas, fashioned in classical turn of the century colonial architecture, with a pool, beach bar and office, all nestled in a grove of tropical trees on a gently sloping hillside — just footsteps away from the palm-fringed Stonehaven Bay. The emphasis is on elegant comfort amidst the serenity of nature. Each villa is fitted with all the modern amenities, and your own Villa Attendant. Unlike other villas in Tobago “PBV” offers the best of both worlds — your own private house with personal attendant, and the full concierge services offered from our onsite office. We are quick to organise as much or as little as you need, from transfers to and from the airport, restaurants and groceries, to tours and/or activities for the kids… or maybe you’d just settle for a massage on your verandah. No request is too big for us to handle. The Resort is ideal for a family holiday, reunion or an intimate wedding; our family of friendly staff and the ambiance and warmth we provide assures a taste of paradise. www.plantationbeachvillas.com
