Updated Tobago Heritage Festival 2020 calendar

After carefully considering of all of the factors surrounding the local COVID-19 pandemic — including that Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram has indicated Trinidad & Tobago now has community spread of the virus, with new restrictions put in place last weekend to address this — the Tobago Festivals Commission Ltd has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone in-person activities and events that had been scheduled for the 2020 Tobago Heritage Festival.

The specific events which have been postponed are the Pembroke Fireside Friday – a curbside pick-up event, the Roxborough Ole Time Harvest, and the production of the Moriah Ole Time Wedding short film. Also affected is the Ms Heritage Personality event, which will no longer be held at the Cyd Gray Complex, and will now be a virtual production.

The Tobago Festivals Commission has emphasised that they continue to pursue other ways to share content with their audience, and are exploring options to reschedule the postponed events. They will continue to provide content via their virtual platform, as they remain committed to promoting Trinidad & Tobago’s local cultural heritage.

Further information on all Heritage 2020 activities can be found on the Commission’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages.
